Christoph (Chris) is a Structural Project Manager at EVS, where he’s been shaping and refining large-scale solar projects since 2021. In 2023, he added a new role to his toolkit: host of The Sounds of Solar podcast, where he spotlights the people, projects, and ideas driving the renewable energy transition.

With a deep passion for clean energy - especially solar - Chris pairs his engineering expertise with a creative spark that brings fresh perspective to every project.

Outside of EVS, you’ll often find him on two wheels. He’s an avid cyclist with a love for restoring and riding vintage late-80s and 90s GT mountain bikes. When he’s not chasing trails, he’s making music. A lifelong guitarist and performer, Chris has played in bands, recorded fingerstyle guitar albums, and built years of experience in audio production and theatre.

PV & BESS Engineering Associate IV

Prahalad Shivshankaran is part of the electrical engineering team at EVS, where he’s been contributing his expertise to solar and storage projects since 2021. Originally from India, he earned his bachelor’s degree at Sastra University before moving to Philadelphia to complete his master’s in electrical engineering — where he was first introduced to the world of renewable energy.

A longtime podcast listener, Prahalad saw hosting The Sounds of Solar as a natural way to combine his curiosity with his passion for learning from industry experts.

Outside of work, Prahalad enjoys hiking, soccer, cricket, and ping-pong. He’s also a percussionist with the South Asian band Penn Sargam. When he and his wife aren’t making music or cheering on their favorite teams, they can often be found traveling and exploring new landscapes across the U.S.

Sheridan is a California native who has fully embraced her Minnesota roots, she's a UMN Twin Cities alum and has lived in the city of Minneapolis for the last decade.

As a Civil Project Engineer with EVS since 2021, Sheridan spends her workdays deep in the world of design and problem-solving. When she’s not engineering, Sheridan is all about staying active and having fun. Her daily routine can be a mix of running, cycling, yoga, hiking, and lifting—all balanced with her love for reading, trying new restaurants, and catching the latest EDM show. She is a dedicated foodie with a passion for sushi, poke bowls, hot pot, and Korean BBQ; always looking for a new spot to try.

Power Studies Engineering Associate IV

Walelign is an Electrical Engineer Associate IV at EVS, where he applies his technical expertise and problem-solving skills to renewable energy projects. In 2025, he joined The Sounds of Solar podcast team as a host, bringing both engineering insight and a global perspective shaped by his upbringing in Nairobi, Kenya.

Beyond engineering, Walelign is fueled by curiosity and creativity. He’s a passionate Arsenal fan who rarely misses a match, a budding photographer and videographer, and an avid traveler whose favorite adventures include a safari in the Maasai Mara and exploring Egypt’s ancient monuments.

His love of history, culture, and storytelling comes through in every conversation — whether he’s sharing laughs with friends over Ethiopian kitfo and Kenyan chapatti, or sparking engaging discussions behind the mic.
